How can i become the alpha dog of the group?

i posted this question incorrectly a couple of minutes ago. at school we're playing this 2-week long colony history game before christmas break where we take control of a country and can go to war or trade, or buy etc. the overall winner of the game (whoever gets the most money) gets the most extra credit. im in a group with 5 of my gullible friends. so far, we suck because they do stupid moves and really dont know what they're doing. how can i become the alpha in the group and take control, since i'll know what to do. please respond because i really need my C+ to go to a B+
