Freshman crushing on senior? Your opinion?

I've had a crush on a senior for all of my freshman year so far. I've talked to my Mom about me dating an older guy and she is totally fine with it. She recognizes that I've always been alot more mature than my fellow clmates. Even with a big group of girls, I don't act all 'giddy' and gullible like the rest of them... I don't get all riled up in their dramas. I'm a pretty straight forward I guess you could say. Anyways, I don't know if it has to do with boys maturing slower than girls, but I seem to find the attraction to older guys (Juniors + seniors). Anyone have any advice for my in the relationship department? Should I go for the older guys?
