What is this strange instrument?

Used by the band Bat for Lashes, it's kind of like a dulcimer, but rather than being played with hammers its played with piano keys, which looks much easier to me.. below is a link to a youtube of the band playing it during I'm On Fire, and Natasha actually introduces it at the start, sounds like marqsoo or something? You see a close up of it around 50secs. Apparently it's very old, can anyone shed some light on this? I'd give my right arm to get hold of one.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1a06wF06_A
