Is the universe infinite or finite?

This is a question that bothers me deeply. I am just a high school student who honestly knows nothing about the subject nor have i ever taken any astrophysics or astrology courses. I am just deeply interested in the universe. I believe that the universe is constantly expanding; everything has a life expectancy right? Does that mean that the universe is infinite and finite? What i mean is are there traits of both because i am sure the universe must eventually end just like our lives begin and end. The universe was born so that must mean that it must die right? I could talk about this all day but i just want some input. Please provide your theory and some facts because i do know that there is currently no definitive answer to this question.
