Am i right, or is he right?

I bought alcohol for my friend. He said his parents would flip if he brought alcohol home, and asked me if i could keep it for him until the party. So i put my alcohol and his into my bag. When i got home the two bottles had obviously collided, and it broke my alcohol. The alcohol broke my ipod, i'm left with an alcohol stinking bag and bits of gl in it. I've also lost 7 quid and have no alcohol. Should he give me some money for this damage? It was his alcohol that caused mine to smash..and i was doing him a favour by taking his alcohol home.
